Dr Howard Webster is a highly experienced plastic surgeon with more than three decades dedicated to facial aesthetic surgery and many thousands of facial procedures performed. As a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons and Past President of the Australasian Society of Plastic Surgeons, he is recognised for his meticulous surgical approach and focus on natural-looking outcomes.
By concentrating on a select range of facial procedures, Dr Webster has developed extensive expertise while maintaining high standards of patient care. Every consultation is unhurried and tailored to the individual, allowing time to understand each patient's goals, anatomy, and what can realistically be achieved.

With a career spanning more than four decades, Dr Howard Webster is a specialist plastic surgeon based in Melbourne. Following his medical graduation in 1983, he completed eight years of surgical and specialist training before undertaking three years of advanced postgraduate fellowship training in the United Kingdom and the United States.
Clinical Leadership
Dr Webster has held several senior leadership positions throughout his career, including Head of Plastic and Maxillofacial Surgery at one of Melbourne's largest public hospitals. From 2007 to 2009, he served as President of the Australasian Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS), Australia's peak professional body for specialist plastic surgeons.
Innovation & Advocacy
During his presidency of ASPS, Dr Webster founded the Australasian Foundation for Plastic Surgery and served as its inaugural Chairman, helping establish initiatives focused on research, surgical education, and outreach throughout Australasia. He also served on the Avant Medical Advisory Council, contributing to initiatives that support clinical standards and patient safety. In 2009, he became the first Australian plastic surgeon invited to serve on the International Advisory Committee of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons.
Education & Research
Dr Webster has made significant contributions to plastic surgery through education and research. Since 2015, he has been a faculty member of the internationally recognised Mendelson Advanced Facial Anatomy Course (MAFAC), teaching advanced facial anatomy to plastic surgeons from Australia and around the world. He has co-authored five chapters in leading plastic surgery textbooks, joined the teaching faculty for the IPRAS World Congress in Plastic Surgery in 2011, and was Scientific Convener of the Australasian National Plastic Surgery Congress in 2013.
